KAIZEN
Kaizen is an improvement strategy to change for the better, in terms of operational and financial business targets, in where all the employees, and workers are joined together in teams to find specific improvement solutions in the different functional areas of the organization.
The main goal of Kaizen is to focus on the sustainability of continuous improvement, and that’s why the innovation and teamwork are vital factors for achieving successful results.
The top management of the organization plays an important role to create a Kaizen environment, which is the motivation. Without motivation, people won’t be attracted to share their ideas which might have a dramatic change impact on the operations performance.
No one is perfect hundred percent, and there are always areas for improvement.
The major steps of Kaizen implementation:
- Identify an opportunity of improvement
- Observe the current performance
- Share the proposed ideas in between the team players
- Validate the solutions before implementation
- Get approval, and implement the agreed solutions
- Evaluate the results
- Celebration
